Pointe d'Esny is home to some of the most beautiful stretches of beach on the entire island and a favourite of many travellers. This quiet, hard-to-reach beach offers a kilometre-long white sand strip with a crystal-clear lagoon and breathtaking panoramic views of mountains, offshore islands and the coral reef. Pointe d'Esny is also the jumping-off point for visiting the nature reserve on Île aux Aigrettes. The beach is only accessible on foot via narrow paths – ask locals for directions. Note: private properties line the entire coast, so you'll need to walk all the way to Blue Bay to find your way back to the coastal road.
